Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Director of Network Engineering to lead a high-performing team focused on a cloud-first networking strategy. The role requires building roadmaps, guiding Network Operations, Architecture, and Engineering while driving automation and DevOps practices across public, private, and hybrid clouds.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of enterprise networking experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering complex programs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of modern enterprise networking architectures, resiliency design and SRE.
• Experience with public/private/hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of automation, DevOps, IaC, and cloud-native networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop the network strategy and roadmap aligned to business and technology objectives.
• Provide direction and manage work for Network Operations, Engineering, and Architecture teams.
• Ensure portfolio of network projects is delivered on-time and within budget.
• Monitor network SLAs and improve service delivery performance.
• Champion automation, Agile, DevOps to improve quality and speed.
• Manage network lifecycle to drive security and reduce technical debt.
• Create repeatable processes, standards, and governance for high-quality services.
• Lead talent development, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Drive adoption of modern networking across public, private, hybrid clouds.
