Job summary

Maximus seeks a Director - Network Engineer to lead strategy and execution across network operations, engineering, and architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology objectives. You will mentor a high-performing team, drive automation, Agile, and DevOps practices, and deliver network initiatives on time and within budget while strengthening security and reliability.

This is a remote role; candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to support

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
10+ years of professional experience.
Experience leading and developing large engineering teams.
Strong understanding of modern enterprise networking architectures, resiliency, SRE, security, observability, and performance optimization.
Practical experience with public/private/hybrid cloud, AWS, Azure, and FedRAMP/NIST frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead the network services strategy and roadmap to support business objectives.
Provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of network engineers.
Ensure delivery of network initiatives within timelines and budget.
Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in reliability and security.
Champion automation, Agile, DevOps, and IaC practices.
Evolve network technologies to support cloud-first strategies.
Establish repeatable processes and governance for high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align network capabilities with business needs.
