Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Director - Network Engineer to lead the network strategy and manage a team of engineers across engineering, operations, and architecture. This remote position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

You will drive modernization, automation, and DevOps practices, manage budgets and SLAs, and collaborate with stakeholders to align network capabilities with business goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience leading and developing teams of engineers in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of modern enterprise networking architectures, resiliency, security, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the network services strategy and roadmap.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of network engineers.
• Ensure delivery of network initiatives within timelines and budget.
• Monitor service performance and drive improvements in reliability and security.
• Champion automation, Agile, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Evolve network platforms to support cloud-first strategies.
• Establish repeatable processes, standards, and governance for network services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align network capabilities with business needs.
• Develop talent through coaching, workforce planning, and succession planning.
