Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Director - Network Engineer to lead the network strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives. This remote role requires the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

You will guide Network Operations, Engineering, and Architecture teams, drive automation, Agile/DevOps practices, and oversee delivery of complex network programs within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 10+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Experience leading and developing teams of engineers in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking architectures, SRE, security, observability and performance optimization.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and hybrid setups with FedRAMP/NIST familiarity.
• Familiarity with automation, DevOps, IaC, and cloud-native networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop the network strategy and roadmap aligned to business goals.
• Provide leadership to Network Operations, Engineering, and Architecture teams.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of network services projects.
• Monitor SLAs and improve service delivery performance.
• Champion automation, Agile, DevOps to speed delivery.
• Manage lifecycle to drive security and reduce debt.
• Establish repeatable processes and standards for high-quality services.
• Lead talent development and staffing planning.
• Drive adoption of networks across cloud models.
