Job summary

New York Life Insurance Co is seeking a Director, National Account Management to lead a team of 12–15+ professionals delivering end-to-end service for national accounts (5K+ lives) in a remote capacity. The role reports to the Corporate VP, National Accounts Service and focuses on service excellence and KPI alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in leadership roles within group insurance is preferred.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and manage change.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a functional leader, guiding and coaching direct reports.
• Oversee productivity, quality, and Voice of the Customer targets.
• Build relationships with distribution partners to align on responsibilities.
• Partner with matrix units to ensure cohesive client value chain delivery.
• Act as escalation contact for clients and brokers to resolve issues.
• Recruit and develop talent; support career growth and development.
• Manage staffing, budgeting, and staffing plans with HR/shared services.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce friction and improve outcomes.
• Contribute to Client Services transformation projects and platforms.
