Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Health Systems Value Strategy to lead portfolio-level value discussions for U.S. health systems within Orthopaedics.

You will craft evidence-based value frameworks and pricing strategies, build advisory boards, and drive outcomes-based contracting initiatives. You will collaborate across functions to translate clinical and economic evidence into customer-ready value propositions and strategic plans, shaping enterprise-level impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health economics, public health, health policy, business, life sciences, or related field.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in health economics, market access, health systems strategy, or related discipline with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. health system economics and decision-making across executive, finance, procurement, quality, supply chain, and clinical leaders.
• Strong U.S. reimbursement and payment policy expertise with ability to translate coding, coverage, payment, and site-of-care developments into business implications.
• Demonstrated customer-facing experience with health system executives and ability to turn complex evidence into actionable solutions.
• Experience building new capabilities, strategic programs, or functions and leading enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Experience managing external advisory boards, customer councils, or executive engagement programs with compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define the health system value strategy with evidence-based frameworks for episodes of care and site-of-care shifts.
• Create portfolio-level value propositions by connecting evidence, reimbursement intelligence, and customer data.
• Build and lead a Hospital Administrator Advisory Board and translate insights into actions.
• Advance value-based pricing with reimbursement, economic, and payer-mix insights for pricing strategy.
• Explore outcomes-based contracting with pilot frameworks and appropriate risk models.
• Enable strategic account teams with value conversation guides and rapid-response updates.
• Translate health system trends and policy developments into customer-specific strategies.
• Build a scalable function with governance, processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
