Job summary

ASPCA is seeking a Director, Fleet Safety and Compliance to lead the development and execution of ASPCA's fleet safety and compliance strategy across all vehicles and field deployments. You will ensure regulatory compliance, identify safety risks, and drive training for drivers to strengthen a culture of safety throughout the organization.

The role requires coordinating with Fleet Management, People, Legal, and external partners, managing DOT filings, and guiding incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 4 years of professional level fleet safety and compliance experience, including management of Commercial Motor Vehicles and Commercial Drivers License drivers, required.
• Experience developing and maintaining fleet safety management systems and compliance documentation, required.
• Experience drafting protocols, preferred.
• Experience developing and presenting training sessions to be delivered in-person and virtually, preferred.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Facilities, operations) on fleet safety and compliance issues, preferred.
• 5 years of driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet safety and compliance strategy across ASPCA programs, mobile clinics, and field deployments.
• Lead training development and coaching for drivers; ensure DOT documentation is complete and current.
• Coordinate with Fleet Management, People, and Legal teams to maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Manage DOT filings and respond to safety audits or inquiries at federal, state, and local levels.
• Drive cross-department collaboration to ensure fleet safety culture and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Support budget planning related to fleet safety and compliance and participate in Vehicle and Transport Safety Committee.
