Job summary

The ASPCA seeks a Director of Fleet Safety and Compliance to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fleet safety program. You will oversee training, regulatory compliance, and incident response for vehicles including emergency and CMV assets, while collaborating across Legal, People, and program teams.

You will drive policy, implement safety initiatives, and coordinate audits, with travel up to 30% and remote-based work within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 4 years of professional level fleet safety and compliance experience required.
• Experience overseeing animal transport preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining fleet safety management systems and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Fleet Compliance Management: Review logs, reconcile devices, coordinate with Fleet Management for maintenance, manage DOT filings, and respond to audits.
• Driver Training and Management: Update driver lists, monitor licenses, ensure Driver Qualification Files are complete, educate on regulations, and support DOT documentation.
• Strategy and Engagement: Develop best practices, create fleet safety documents, engage stakeholders, and support budgeting and committee work.
