Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead national Commercial P&C operations, partnering with regional leadership to drive efficiency, standardization, and growth. The role focuses on workflow optimization, workforce planning, and M&A integration to maximize client value and shareholder outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership, active P&C licensing, and designations (CPCU/CIC).

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with divisional and regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce variation, and enhance effectiveness.
• Evaluate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models and workload distribution to develop capacity plans.
• Partner with Managed Services to ensure resource alignment with goals.
• Serve as a national Commercial P&C subject matter expert on workflows, systems, and best practices.
• Support merger and acquisition initiatives through operational assessments and integration planning.
• Build partnerships with producers, operations, and leadership to drive engagement and implementation.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, reporting tools, and other operational tech.
• Use metrics and BI to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead change management to adopt new processes and practices.
• Maintain advanced industry and leadership knowledge through ongoing development.
