Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, partnering with divisional and regional leadership to advance objectives, optimize efficiency, and strengthen performance across the organization. The role emphasizes workflow standardization, process improvement, workforce planning, and scalable solutions to support growth.

Qualifications

Active Property & Casualty License required.
CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

Commercial Lines Strategy: Partner with Leadership to develop initiatives strengthening operations, service, and performance.
Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Workflow Standardization: Promote standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
Root Cause Analysis: Identify underlying causes and implement corrective actions.
Workforce Planning: Analyze staffing and workload to develop capacity plans.
Managed Services Alignment: Ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Technical Expertise: Serve as a national Commercial P&C subject matter expert.
M&A Integration Support: Assist integration planning and workflow alignment.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build partnerships to drive engagement and adoption of initiatives.
Systems & Technology Optimization: Promote effective use of EPIC and reporting tools.
Performance Analysis: Use metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvements.
Change Leadership: Facilitate adoption of new processes and practices.
