Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to act as a national subject matter expert in Commercial Property & Casualty and agency operations. The role reports to leadership and partners across divisions to drive efficiency, scalability, and best practices in Commercial Lines while supporting M&A integration and transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

Active Property & Casualty license
CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent)
5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership within a large broker/agency
Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization
Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements
Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives
Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

Commercial Lines Strategy: Partner with Leadership to develop initiatives strengthening operations and performance.
Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Workflow Standardization: Promote standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
Root Cause Analysis: Evaluate issues and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
Workforce Planning: Analyze staffing and workload to develop capacity plans.
Managed Services Alignment: Ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment with goals.
Technical Expertise: Serve as a national Commercial P&C subject matter expert on operations and systems.
M&A Integration Support: Guide integration planning and workflow alignment.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build partnerships to drive adoption and accountability.
Systems & Technology Optimization: Improve performance via EPIC and reporting tools.
Performance Analysis: Use metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvements.
Change Leadership: Drive adoption of new processes and practices.
