Job summary

Providence is seeking a Director Billing and Collections to lead remote billing operations across the system. You will oversee all billing follow-up, denial management, and AR across locations, ensuring compliance and optimal revenue cycle performance.

You will partner with clinics, finance, contracting, compliance, coding, and vendors to drive improvements, standardize processes, and achieve A/R goals while enhancing patient and provider experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in accounts receivable management.
• 8 years in leadership roles.
• 5 years in medical revenue cycle management.
• 3 years of executive-level relationship management experience.
• Experience standardizing complex processes across multiple facilities.
• Healthcare business operations or financial management in a healthcare setting.
• Experience managing billing follow-up, denial management, reporting, and reimbursement recovery including patient accounting, third-party payer billing, and EDI billing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing and follow-up activities for Providence retained billing offices.
• Manage accounts receivable across insurance and self-pay portfolios; ensure billing compliance.
• Collaborate with clinics and departments to improve revenue cycle workflows.
• Partner with clinical, operational, finance, contracting, compliance, coding, and vendors to enhance financial performance and regulatory compliance.
• Drive strategies to improve collections, reduce receivables, and enhance patient and provider experience.
• Lead initiatives to meet Professional Billing AR goals and optimize revenue cycle operations.
