Job summary

National General is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by acquiring new business, cross-selling existing clients, and building lasting relationships in local markets. This role combines in-person and phone sales, community outreach, and partner collaboration to fuel sales and service excellence.

You will manage a strong pipeline, meet sales goals, and stay compliant with underwriting guidelines while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

• 0 – 2 years of experience.
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
