Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Familiarity with court procedures, legal terminology, and digital recording technology is preferred.
• Notary Public license and AAERT's CER certification are advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and touch typing (60 wpm) is required.
• Associate’s degree in legal studies, communications, or audio/visual technology is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record legal proceedings using advanced audio/video equipment
• Administer oaths and maintain control as an independent authority
• Annotate essential testimony for transcription and playback as needed
• Manage and secure exhibits, backup files, and complete job-specific worksheets
• Maintain professionalism and build effective relationships with clients and legal professionals
• Perform timely preparation for assignments and respond to communications efficiently
