Job summary

Esquire Deposition Solutions is seeking a Digital Reporter in Washington, DC to accurately capture and preserve verbatim records of depositions and other judicial proceedings using specialized recording software and hardware.

You will administer oaths, annotate testimony for transcription, manage exhibits and backup files, and coordinate with clients and legal professionals to ensure professional, high-quality audio/video documentation.

Qualifications

• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Experience: Familiarity with court procedures, legal terminology, and digital recording technology is preferred.
• Certifications: Ability to obtain a Notary Public license and AAERT's Certified Electronic Reporter (CER) certification.
• Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and touch typing (minimum 60 wpm with accuracy).
• Education: Associate’s degree in legal studies, communications, or audio/visual technology is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, professional demeanor, and adaptability to work in various environments.
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a national criminal background check.
