Job summary

Market My Market is seeking a Digital PR Contractor to own end-to-end media outreach for a portfolio of legal, medical, and dental clients. You will discover stories, build targeted lists, write pitches, and secure coverage while reporting to the Director of PR.

This remote contractor role offers hands-on client relationships, daily outreach via Qwoted and journalist relationships, and potential progression into a full-time position as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in PR, digital PR, media relations, or journalism, with hands-on outreach experience.
• Proven placements you can point to and explain the angle and outcome.
• You generate angles and three pitching ideas per client/news cycle.

Responsibilities

• Campaign Execution: Run PR campaigns from brief through outreach, follow-up, and results for multiple clients.
• Media Relationships & Outreach: Build real relationships with reporters and editors; lead outreach and follow-ups.
• Pitch Writing & Storytelling: Write pitches reporters actually open; tailor to outlet and angle.
• Reactive Media: Monitor news cycles and pitch timely angles to reporters.
• Source Requests: Respond to journalist source requests daily on Qwoted and similar platforms.
• Thought Leadership & Expert Positioning: Identify angles to position clients as credible sources; brief content team.
• Data-Led Campaigns: Source datasets, shape angles, and write stories around numbers.
• Media List Building & Targeting: Build/refine lists with tools and manual research.
• Reporting: Track coverage/links/outreach performance and report findings.
• Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor coverage to find differentiation opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work with content, Client Experience, and PR leadership to align campaigns.
