Job summary

Market My Market is seeking a Digital PR Contractor to lead outreach for a portfolio of legal, specialty medical, and dental clients. You will identify compelling angles, build a media list, craft pitches, and secure placements across target publications while collaborating with the PR team.

This is a fully remote role reporting to the Director of PR, with potential to grow into a full-time position based on performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in PR, digital PR, media relations, or journalism, with hands-on outreach experience.
• Proven placements you can point to and explain the angle and outcome.
• You generate angles and three ideas for each client/news cycle.
• Strong, fast writing; ability to simplify complex topics.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns and client portfolios simultaneously.
• Comfortable with volume and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Campaign Execution: Run PR campaigns from brief through outreach, follow-up, and results, across multiple clients.
• Media Relationships & Outreach: Build real relationships with reporters and editors, and track preferences and beats.
• Pitch Writing & Storytelling: Write pitches reporters actually open, tailored to outlets and angles.
• Reactive Media: Monitor news cycles and pitch timely angles.
• Source Requests: Respond daily to journalist source requests on platforms like Qwoted.
• Thought Leadership & Expert Positioning: Identify angles to position clients as credible sources.
• Data-Led Campaigns: Source datasets and shape angles around numbers.
• Media List Building & Targeting: Build lists using Muck Rack, JournoFinder, and manual research.
• Reporting: Track coverage and outreach performance to inform strategy.
• Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor coverage to identify gaps.
• Collaboration: Work with content, Client Experience, and PR leadership to stay aligned.
