Job summary

Market My Market is seeking a Digital PR Contractor who will own media outreach end to end for legal, specialty medical, and dental clients — from identifying a story to securing coverage. You’ll report to the Director of PR and work with our Digital PR team to place features, links, and expert positioning in publications our clients actually read.

A typical week involves scanning the news cycle, building targeted lists for recent stories, managing outreach via Qwoted and journalist

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in PR, digital PR, media relations, or journalism, with hands-on outreach experience.
• Proven placements you can point to. You should be able to walk us through a specific piece of coverage you landed, what the angle was, and why the reporter said yes.
• You generate the angles, not just execute them. Given a client and a news cycle, you come back with three ideas worth pitching — not a request for direction.
• Strong, fast writing. You can turn a complex topic into three sentences that make a reporter care.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns and client portfolios simultaneously without dropping threads
• Comfortable with volume and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the discipline to work remotely
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Campaign Execution: Run PR campaigns from brief to outreach, follow-up, and results across multiple clients.
• Media Relationships & Outreach: Build reporter relationships; lead outreach and follow-up; track reporter preferences and beats.
• Pitch Writing & Storytelling: Write pitches tailored to outlets, angles, and timing.
• Reactive Media: Monitor news cycles and pitch reporters quickly with timely angles.
• Source Requests: Respond to journalist inquiries on platforms, matching experts.
• Thought Leadership & Expert Positioning: Define angles and framing for opportunities; brief content team.
• Data-Led Campaigns: Source datasets, shape angles, write the numbers-driven story.
• Media List Building & Targeting: Build/refine media lists using Muck Rack and JournoFinder.
• Reporting: Track coverage, links, outreach performance, and report findings.
• Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor coverage and links to identify opportunities.
• Collaboration: Align campaigns with content, Client Experience, and PR leadership.
