Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Distribution Sales Executive to own new Core Lab business across Hospitals, Reference Labs, and Government facilities. You will partner with distributors to grow revenue and manage full life cycles of sales opportunities.

The role requires 4+ years in diagnostics sales, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel 50–75%. Territory includes multiple western states with Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City among ideal bases.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree
• Minimum of 4 years of sales experience in the diagnostics, core laboratory, molecular or medical device capital equipment industry
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in capital sales and/or multi-stakeholder environment developing and selling customized solutions to senior level laboratory leadership and C-suite executives
• Proven Success in Strategic Sales: exceeds plan and turns around underperforming territory
• Innovation and Change Management: brings new ideas forward and drives them through organization
• Strong business planning process and attention to detail; MS Office and CRM skills
• Results oriented; anticipates sales shortfalls and closes gaps

Responsibilities

• Own the execution of new Core Lab business across Hospitals, Reference Labs, Physician Office Labs, and Government facilities.
• Partner with distribution partners to develop solutions that drive revenue and growth.
• Manage full life cycle of new business opportunities with customer-based decision makers.
• Drive market share growth through new business opportunity realization and renewals.
• Develop trust with customers and distributors; leverage cross-functional teams to close complex deals.
