Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Medical Physicist for a home-based role to lead imaging protocol development across CT and MRI, with emphasis on cardiac imaging, and to guide new technologies and purchasing decisions.

You will collaborate with the radiation safety team, report to the Director of Radiation Safety, and contribute to accreditation efforts while advancing a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics, or related field required; PhD preferred.
• Texas License in Medical Physics specialty required.
• Board Certification by ABR or related medical physics board.

Responsabilités

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer liaison for RAM licenses and X-Ray registrations.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies to minimize patient exposure.
• Oversees equipment performance evaluations for x-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound systems.
• Coordinates shielding calculations and space planning with architects.
• Supports accreditation efforts and regulatory surveys as needed.
