Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Medical Physicist for a home-based role to lead imaging protocol development, QA, and safety oversight across a large health system. Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics, or related field required; PhD preferred.
• Texas License in Medical Physics specialty required.
• Board Certification by ABR or equivalent national board.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serve as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-ray registrations and RAM licenses.
• Develop and evaluate radiation safety policies to minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Oversee equipment performance evaluations for diagnostic imaging devices and modalities.
• Perform dosimetry and shielding calculations to meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate testing, shielding evaluations, and system performance with architects and vendors.
• Support accreditation and regulatory surveys, and participate in radiation safety committees.
