Qualifikationen

• Education: Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics, or related field required.
• PhD preferred.
• License/Certification: Texas License in Medical Physics specialty required.
• Board Certification by ABR or ABMS or equivalent.
• Clinical experience post-graduate training preferred.
• Four (4) years of related experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serves as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray and RAM licenses.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies and procedures to minimize exposure.
• Oversees Equipment Performance Evaluations for x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound and other imaging modalities.
• Coordinates shielding evaluations and space planning with ALARA principles.
• Participates in Radiation Safety Committees and incident investigations as needed.
