Job summary

Clinician Nexus is seeking a DevOps Manager within the Platform Engineering organization. The role alternates between leadership and hands-on engineering, guiding the DevOps team while contributing to design, code, and on-call tasks.

You will partner with development, data platform, data governance, and IT teams to deliver secure, reliable platform capabilities and drive AI tooling governance. Remote role limited to selected states.

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering experience with at least 2 years in a technical lead capacity.
Experience as a working manager or tech lead balancing IC delivery with leadership.
Deep experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform across AWS multi-account environments.
Production experience operating Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and GitOps delivery (ArgoCD/Flux).
Strong CI/CD with GitHub Actions including security scanning and self-hosted runners.
Scripting with Python or Bash.
Experience with Vault or similar secrets management.
Experience with cloud-based networking (VPCs, private connectivity, DNS).
Experience with observability tools (Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
BS in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of DevOps engineers with performance management and career development.
Own the DevOps roadmap in partnership with the Director of Platform Engineering.
Drive CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and platform tooling decisions and reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on standards and initiatives.
Coach engineers through code reviews and incident retrospectives.
Represent the team in executive roadmap reviews and FinOps reporting.
Contribute to AI tooling governance and platform standardization.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and security controls.
Implement and operate Terraform across multi-account AWS environments.
Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) with ArgoCD GitOps delivery and security policies.
Operate secrets management with Vault and external secrets integration.
Build observability stacks with Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
Lead incident response and post-incident reviews; author runbooks.
Implement security controls, governance, and compliance across the platform.
Contribute to AWS network architecture (PrivateLink, VPCs).
