Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking an energetic, mission-driven Development Manager to lead the Walk to Defeat ALS and other revenue-generating opportunities. You will cultivate relationships, drive fundraising across the state of Arkansas, and collaborate with chapters to maximize impact.

This role focuses on engaging supporters, building corporate partnerships, writing grants, and coordinating events with volunteers. Travel up to 25% is required, and the position is remote and based in Arkansas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; commitment to lifelong learning.
• 2–5 years of development, sales or fundraising experience required.
• Experience planning and managing development events with volunteers.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage event relationships to maximize fundraising.
• Lead revenue events statewide, including Walk to Defeat ALS.
• Develop corporate partnerships and donor stewardship strategies.
• Represent the Association at community events to raise awareness.
• Draft grant proposals and supporting fundraising materials.
• Coordinate with teams to plan logistics and collateral.
• Manage donor databases and track financial progress.
