Job summary

Breakthrough T1D is seeking a Development Manager to lead integrated fundraising efforts in the Long Island region, supporting chapter growth and revenue goals. The role focuses on donor cultivation, volunteer engagement, and collaboration with national partners to expand impact.

You will manage event portfolios, recruit and coach volunteers, secure sponsors, and promote the organization's mission within the community, with occasional travel to New York City for meetings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of fundraising experience in a revenue-driven setting.
• Proven ability to solicit donors and manage volunteers.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with donors and partners.
• Willingness to travel locally and work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth through assigned event portfolio.
• Achieve personal event revenue goals and support chapter targets.
• Collaborate with national partners to grow donor engagement.
• Develop stewardship plans for event supporters.
• Recruit, cultivate, and manage volunteer leaders.
• Promote Breakthrough T1D mission in the community.
• Maintain program policies and participate in monthly strategy meetings.
