Breakthrough T1D seeks a Development Manager to drive integrated fundraising and donor engagement in Illinois. The role emphasizes relationship-building with donors and volunteers to expand chapter reach, increase revenue, and strengthen the donor pipeline through events and campaigns.

The position requires 5+ years in nonprofit fundraising, strong stewardship skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid schedule with in-office and field days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years in donor development, volunteer engagement, operations, and project management.
• Five years of volunteer team recruitment, development, retention, and stewardship experience.
• 3-5 years of fundraising with revenue responsibilities over $500k and large-scale events.
• Strong skills in identification, cultivation, solicitation, and ongoing stewardship of donors and supporters.
• Experience partnering with active volunteers and a broad network in the local area.
• High energy, integrity, courage, empathy, creativity; a collaborative team player.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM systems.
• Ability to travel locally; evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising and engagement plans to grow chapter revenue and participation.
• Meet personal event revenue goals and support overall chapter revenue and engagement targets.
• Collaborate with national and chapter partners to grow the event portfolio through donor engagement and stewardship.
• Identify and cultivate new business with existing donors and new prospects.
• Implement stewardship for all event supporters; drive foundation and pipeline activities for long-term success.
• Recruit, cultivate, and manage volunteer leaders; engage with volunteer committees and partners.
• Plan cultivation events to inspire major donors and volunteers; maximize event participation and giving.
