Job summary

esVolta is hiring a Development Engineer (Engineer I) to support utility-scale battery energy storage project development. You will assist with engineering activities from early-stage development through NTP and EPC handoff, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The role emphasizes technical reviews, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires an ABET-accredited EE degree and familiarity with industry standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, NEC, NEMA, and UL standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist development team with engineering activities across early to late development stages.
• Coordinate technical specifications with vendors and esVolta teams for project design basis documents.
• Support interconnection studies and permitting processes with engineers and consultants.
• Review proposals and engineering deliverables for scope compliance and technical accuracy.
• Assist with documentation for EPC handoff and vendor equipment specifications.
