Job summary

esVolta is seeking a Junior Development Engineer to support the development of utility-scale battery energy storage projects from early-stage development through NTP and EPC handoff. You will assist with preliminary engineering, interconnection studies, permitting, and technical coordination across teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited) and strong proficiency in engineering software.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field required.
• EIT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development of utility-scale energy storage projects from early stage through NTP and EPC handoff.
• Prepare and review design basis documents, interconnection support, and permitting inputs.
• Coordinate with engineering leadership to gather specifications from vendors and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Assist with geotechnical/hydrological/site plan studies and EPC RFP packages.
