Job summary

esVolta, LP seeks a Junior Development Engineer (Engineer I) to support utility-scale battery storage projects. You will assist early-stage design, interconnection studies, permitting, and techno-economic analyses, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

Role requires collaboration with vendors and engineers, with travel up to 20% and a remote-work option within the continental US. Candidates should have a power/energy background and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Experience with IEEE/NFPA/NEC and related standards preferred.
• Experience in energy storage or power delivery is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities across development stages from early to handoff.
• Coordinate technical specifications with vendors and project teams.
• Assist with interconnection studies, permitting, and TE modeling.
• Prepare technical documentation for EPC handoff and RFPs.
