Job summary

esVolta, LP is seeking a Senior SCADA Systems & Integration Engineer to support the execution and operation of utility‑scale battery energy storage projects from late-stage development through long‑term operations.

The role reports to the SCADA Systems and Integration Manager and involves designing, integrating, and operating controls and monitoring systems for grid-connected BESS projects across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SCADA, instrumentation and control systems engineering.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage EMS and grid-level SCADA config preferred.
• ABET-accredited degree in instrumentation/electrical engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and operations of BESS facilities.
• Lead I&C commissioning, ensuring proper integration and validation before operation.
• Lead SCADA operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting with OT/IT teams.
• Manage substation RTAC and relay issues, analyze event logs and coordinate actions.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards for controls, SCADA, and substation integration.
• Coordinate with Performance Engineering and Asset Management to integrate remote data.
