Job summary

Idera, Inc. is seeking a Developer Content & Product Marketing Specialist to own how developers discover, understand, and fall in love with our API. This hands-on, high-craft role requires coding experience, a developer mindset, and strong opinions on docs, DX, and content.

You’ll translate technical capability into positioning that resonates with a detail‑oriented developer audience, with excellent writing and UX focus. The role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and marketing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in developer content, technical writing, developer marketing, product marketing, or a closely related role.
• A technical or highly technical background; ability to read code and discuss technical topics.
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to transform technical concepts into clear, engaging content.
• Strong UX and content design sense; attention to how information is structured.
• Native or near-native English fluency and excellent verbal communication.
• Proactive, self-directed attitude with ability to move projects forward independently.
• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision while aligning with team goals.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with engineering and product teams.
• Willing to work US hours with 6 hours of overlap.

Responsibilities

• Own positioning and messaging for our API products, grounded in the technical capabilities and how developers evaluate them.
• Plan and execute product launches and feature announcements, from technical narrative to go-to-market assets.
• Write high-quality, developer-facing content: landing pages, launch posts, comparison pages, email sequences, in-product copy, and sales enablement materials.
• Partner with product and engineering to develop deep product knowledge—read docs, test the API, and ask sharp technical questions.
• Collaborate with the docs/DX team to improve the developer journey: onboarding flows, quickstarts, and the overall experience of evaluating and adopting the API.
• Conduct win/loss analysis, customer interviews, and competitive research to sharpen messaging and inform roadmap conversations.
• Define and track metrics that matter for product marketing: activation, adoption, and content performance.
• Act as the voice of the developer internally, and the voice of the product externally.
