Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a Desktop Technical Analyst to deliver Tier I/II desktop support, identify and resolve issues, and empower staff through effective use of hardware and software resources.

Responsibilities include imaging and deploying computers, managing assets, and handling change orders and incidents. Travel within Colorado may be required. Location is within a Colorado government IT environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned at the Tier II level, including previous experience in a professional service desk or desktop support environment.
• Additional education or certifications can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis; certifications related to the work may count toward substitution.
• If a degree is required, additional paid or unpaid experience can substitute for it on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Support a diverse group of users (desktop, laptop, and tablet) and resolve problems in various production environments.
• Provide targeted hardware and software support remotely and on-site.
• Manage and maintain asset information systems.
• Image, prepare, and deploy new and/or rebuilt computers.
• Proactively manage open change orders, incidents, and problems.
