Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Design Manager, Data Centers to be based remotely in the United States with occasional travel. You will lead multi-discipline design, due diligence, and site assessments for colocation and hyperscale data center projects, guiding them from planning through construction documents and administration.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical or mechanical background and proven leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
Master’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
PE/Architect license or active registration is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead data center due diligence and design teams to deliver projects on schedule with high quality across multiple disciplines.
Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans.
Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders.
Proactively manage and communicate change to teams and clients.
Identify problems early and develop creative solutions.
Communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues.
Develop technical and financial proposals for data center design projects.
Build trusting relationships with client stakeholders.
