Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Design Manager for Data Centers to be based remotely in the United States with some travel. You will oversee colocation and hyper-scale data center projects from due diligence through construction administration, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients nationwide.

The role requires strong engineering background and leadership to deliver fast-paced, high-impact data center designs with exceptional communication skills. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Eng. with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience leading design of data centers incl. colocation & hyper-scale.
• Strong leadership, communication, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center due diligence and design teams across disciplines.
• Develop and enforce multi-site project/program plans.
• Host and attend client meetings and manage stakeholder communications.
• Proactively manage design changes and issue resolutions across projects.
• Develop technical and financial proposals for data center designs.
