Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Design Manager for Data Centers to be based remotely in the U.S. The role involves leading multi-disciplinary design across data center projects, from due diligence to construction documents, with travel as needed.

You will coordinate with stakeholders and manage complex designs for colocation and hyper-scale data centers. Ideal candidates have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, PE/License preferred, and strong communication and leadership skills for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Ten years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center due diligence and design teams to deliver projects on schedule and to high quality.
• Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans.
• Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders.
• Proactively manage and communicate change throughout the project.
• Identify problems early and develop creative solutions.
• Develop technical and financial proposals for new data center design projects.
• Develop trusting relationships with client stakeholders/buyers.
