Job summary
RegEd, a leading RegTech provider, is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our remote/hybrid team. You will own operational and application database services, monitor health, backups, security, and support performance improvements across on-premise and cloud environments.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years of DBA experience, strong T‑SQL, and familiarity with Azure SQL, SSIS/SSRS, and monitoring tools.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
- Strong T-SQL with complex queries and stored procedures.
- Knowledge of backups, recovery, and HA/DR concepts.
- Experience with cloud DB services in Azure.
- Security administration and access control experience.
- Ability to write SQL scripts and performance-tune queries.
- Familiarity with monitoring and dashboard tools like SSMS/Grafana.
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain database objects for on-prem and cloud.
- Monitor database health, backups, maintenance, and index health.
- Manage users, logins, roles, and access control.
- Verify backups and support restore testing.
- Investigate incidents: deadlocks, performance issues.
- Refresh dev/test databases to support QA and development.
- Build and maintain monitoring infrastructure for visibility.
- Support DB changes and deployments with architecture teams.
- Estimate effort for new/revised DB systems.
