Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Database Administrator to provide operational and application database services across on-premise and cloud environments. You will own incidents, monitor health, and ensure backups, security, and performance are maintained.

The role requires 3+ years in database administration, strong T-SQL, and Azure SQL experience. Collaboration with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams is essential in a fast-paced, hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor and maintain database health via backups, maintenance jobs, and alerts.
• Plan, implement, and maintain backup, restore, and recovery procedures.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents including deadlocks and performance issues.
• Optimize queries and code; develop efficient T-SQL with indexing practices.
• Support QA and development by refreshing environments.
