RegEd, Inc. is seeking a Database Administrator for a full-time, remote role. You will own and optimize on-prem and cloud databases, manage backups, and ensure security and performance across SQL Server environments. The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Candidates should have 3+ years in DBA work, strong T-SQL, and experience with Azure SQL, backups, and security. A remote or hybrid setup is available, with competitive salary and benefits at RegEd.

Formación

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills with complex queries and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of execution plans and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL MI/DB/VM in cloud environments.
• Database security administration and access control experience.
• Ability to write SQL scripts for data analysis and ops.
• Understanding OLTP database fundamentals.

Responsabilidades

• Design, create, and maintain database objects in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Monitor backup status, maintenance, and index health; respond to alerts.
• Manage database security, logins, roles, and access controls.
• Plan and test backup, restore, and recovery procedures.
• Investigate incidents, deadlocks, and performance issues.
• Optimize queries and procedures using execution plans and indexing.
• Support QA and development by refreshing development databases.
• Contribute to database monitoring infrastructure for visibility.
