Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Database Administrator to provide operational and application database services across on-premise and cloud environments. You will own incidents, backups, performance, and security, while collaborating with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams to deliver reliable database solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in DBA or related work, strong T-SQL, and experience with SQL Server 2016+. Familiarity with Azure SQL services and monitoring tools is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Strong T-SQL skills with complex queries, stored procedures, and dynamic SQL.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud DB services in Azure (Azure SQL MI/DB/VM).
• Experience administering database security, roles, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects (indexes, views, procedures, tables).
• Monitor and maintain database health, backups, maintenance jobs, and alerts.
• Respond to incidents, assist with restorations, and troubleshoot blocks and deadlocks.
• Coordinate changes with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure QA/dev environments are refreshed and performance is optimized.
• Support deployment of database changes and code reviews for standards.
