Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to provide operational and application database services. The role involves owning database incidents, monitoring health, backups, and security, across on-premise and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years DBA experience, strong T-SQL, and familiarity with Azure SQL and SSIS/SSRS. This position offers a remote/ Hybrid setup and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database administration or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure (Azure SQL MI/DB or SQL on VMs).
• Experience with database security administration and access controls.
• Ability to build and maintain SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and operational use.

Responsibilities

• Own, track, and resolve database-related incidents and requests.
• Monitor and maintain database health via backups and maintenance jobs.
• Support performance and security requirements across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Architecture on coding standards for procedures, triggers, and schemas.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain database instances for development, testing, and production.
• Provide troubleshooting and guidance with QA, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams.
