Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead customer-facing engagements, architect data solutions, and guide implementations across cloud platforms. You will work with Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and related open-source technologies to deliver strategic business value for enterprise customers.

You will collaborate with sales to build trusted advisor relationships, develop reference architectures, and support critical customer issues while traveling up to 30% to client sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficient programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Built solutions with public cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Science/ML.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred; Databricks Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Data and AI solutions from Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects, data science and ML projects, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party apps.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications for customers.
• Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
• Evangelize Databricks open-source projects across developer communities via meetups, conferences, and webinars.
• Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to drive customer success.
• Travel to customers up to 30%.
