Whatnot is seeking a Data Scientist for the Seller Merchant team to use analytics to improve seller activation, inventory creation, and GMV. You will design experiments with cross-functional teams and build analytical frameworks to drive product strategy across diverse seller segments.

The role emphasizes experimentation, Bayesian methods, and strong SQL/Python skills to translate complex questions into actionable insights that impact live commerce at scale.

• Strong product and business judgment with ability to translate questions into analyses.
• Experience with experimentation design, analysis, and recommendations.
• Knowledge of Bayesian methods and causal inference, especially on small/noisy datasets.
