Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll grow our seller pipeline and ensure we meet buyer needs on Whatnot. You’re a quick learner and self-starter, energized by talking to people, solving challenges, and identifying new sellers to join our platform!

  • Deeply understand our sales process and collaborate with the team to attract high-potential sellers.
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify top sellers suitable for Whatnot.
  • Identify seller needs and develop outreach strategies using email, calls, social media, and in-person events.
  • Build relationships with sellers and coordinate with internal teams to drive growth.
  • Opportunities for growth into Sales Manager roles or other positions within our fast-paced, high-growth environment.

US Based: Team members must be within 50 miles of our Los Angeles or New York City hubs.

You

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Passionate about Whatnot’s mission and community needs.
  • Enjoy operating in ambiguity, are solutions-oriented, and proactive.
  • Curious, quick learner, and able to understand all parts of our sales process and categories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Capable of analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to assess seller fit.
  • Resilient through rejection and objections.
  • Excited about our cultural principles and working in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Compensation
Full-Time US-based applicants: $80,000–$90,000 + benefits + equity.

Benefits include flexible time off, health insurance, work-from-home support, wellness and childcare allowances, retirement plans, parental leave, and more.
