Job summary

Whatnot is hiring a Backend Engineer for the Seller Growth Platform Pod in the United States. You will design and build systems at the heart of the new seller funnel to enable scalable onboarding, growth and trust for buyers and sellers.

The role requires 5+ years of software engineering experience and proficiency in Python, Elixir, JavaScript, and SQL, with a track record of shipping features quickly. You will collaborate with Data Science and Trust teams to improve GMV and safety.

Qualifications

• BS CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience building scalable systems using Python, Elixir, and JavaScript.
• Strong product instincts and shipping features quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems at the heart of the Seller Growth funnel.
• Protect the funnel from fraud and abuse with IDV and fraud detection.
• Scale infrastructure and collaborate with data science and trust teams.
