Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement, maintain, and support data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will work with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms to deploy DLP/DSPM solutions and tune policies.

Strong scripting with PowerShell and Python is valued. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DLP, information security, and cloud deployments, with a relevant degree and advanced cloud certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data protection
• 5+ years of Information Security, governance, risk, or compliance
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 3+ years coding in Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash or PowerShell
• Experience with two or more cloud providers (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-53/83, PCI, HIPAA, ISO 27001/2
• Bachelor's or higher in Information Security/CS related field
• Master's degree and cloud certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure (DLP, DSPM, de-identification).
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on‑prem and cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies and tuning.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
