Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain our data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments, including DLP, DSPM, and data de‑identification solutions. You will work with senior engineers to enforce policies and standards.

The role requires hands‑on experience with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms, plus scripting in Python or PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with two programming languages (Python/PowerShell/JavaScript)
• 3 years of experience with at least two cloud providers (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security/CS
• 5 years in Information Security/Governance/Risk/Compliance with hands-on engineering
• Master's degree in Information Security/CS
• Advanced cloud certs (GCP/AWS/Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments
• Configure and maintain data protection policies
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation
• Use PowerShell and Python to automate deployment and maintenance
• Expand team knowledge and stay current with DSPM/DLP trends
