Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and operation of data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure). You will work with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, configuring DLP policies and DSPM controls, while developing PowerShell and Python utilities to automate deployment and monitoring.

The role demands 5+ years in data protection, information security, and policy management, plus hands-on

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
• 3 years designing architectures across GCP, AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Configure DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design of data protection solutions for on-premises and cloud.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Develop scripts in PowerShell and Python to improve deployment efficiency.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
