Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement, maintain, and support data protection infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role involves configuring DLP, DSPM, and de‑identification solutions, along with policy tuning and incident response.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with DLP technologies, cloud providers (GCP/AWS/Azure), and scripting in PowerShell or Python, collaborating with senior engineers to implement robust data protection

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software's
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell etc.)
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to at least two of the following cloud service providers: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services or Azure

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the organization's data protection infrastructure across various platforms and vendors
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-premises and cloud environments
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across relevant platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis
• Contribute to data protection projects, testing, implementation and documentation
• Use PowerShell and Python to improve efficiency and support deployment and maintenance of data protection software
• Collaborate with team members to expand knowledge in data protection technologies
• Stay current with data protection technologies, industry best practices and compliance requirements
