Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Data Protection Engineer to implement, maintain, and support a broad data protection stack across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work with senior engineers to deploy DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions, tuning policies and responding to incidents.

The role requires strong scripting in PowerShell/Python, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing adherence to HITRUST/NIST/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell).
• 3 years of experience with cloud design/architectural support for two cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL 3.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the organization's data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies including sensitive information types and detection tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to data protection projects with testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Use PowerShell, Python to improve efficiency and deployment/maintenance of data protection software.
• Collaborate with team to expand expertise in data protection technologies.
• Stay current with data protection technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
