Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain our data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will configure DLP/DSPM solutions, manage policies, and troubleshoot incidents while collaborating with senior engineers on complex projects.

The role requires strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell), experience with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, and deep knowledge of HITRUST, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Data Loss Prevention experience.
• 5 years in Information Security and systems analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining DLP infrastructure.
• 5 years creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years programming with Python/Java/JavaScript/BASH/PowerShell.
• 3 years cloud design for GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-53, PCI, HIPAA, ISO standards.
• Bachelor/Master degrees in related fields and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Configure DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on data protection designs across on-prem and cloud.
• Configure and tune sensitive information types and detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Develop scripts to improve deployment and maintenance of tools.
• Stay current with data protection tech and compliance requirements.
